Each Spring, the art in Downtown Marble Falls get refreshed with new sculptures and locations. If you are interested in applying as a featured artists, applications are open each year from January to February. This year's deadline is Friday, February 3rd, 2023.
- Pieces will be juried by the HLCA Board of Directors and artists will be notified by Monday, February 6.
- Installation will be by appointment during the first two weeks of March.
- Each piece submitted should have at least two photos from different angles and include the following information:
- Height,
- width,
- weight,
- size of the base and how it will be secured,
- construction materials used - steel, iron, plastic, glass, cement, etc.
- Name of the piece and,
- Sales price (Sales are processed through HLCA and the commission split is 75% for the Artist, 25% for HLCA.) Note: Marble Falls has over 1 million visitors to the downtown area each year. We have sold at least one piece over the past few years.
- Since this is an outdoor show with the sculptures displayed along Main Street, each piece must be weather-proof and safe for public display - no sharp edges or hard points.
- Artists will receive a $500 installation stipend and an additional $500 for each year it is displayed. Many of our pieces have been with us for two or more years.
- Pieces displayed in the public right-of-way or other City property will be insured by the City of Marble Falls. Pieces displayed on private property will be insured by the property owner.
