Julia Fletcher with Simply Cottonwood
I graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts from the University of Texas-Austin, but the majority of my education has been after that. For me the landscape offers so many variations of color and texture. One can paint a scene at 8 am and throughout the day it is in constant change. I am drawn the light, as so many artists are, and its power to create mood. There exists a constant pull of the landscape to tell its story and I love being the storyteller. I am a member of Central Texas Pastel Society, Austin Pastel Society, Pastel Society of the Southwest, Red Rock Pastel Society of Nevada, the Pastel Society of New Mexico and a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America.
